I've sat online drooling over her rich deep colored hand made pieces, the gathered details, the dainty layered capes.  Whether it's the plaid bubble hem dress that has slight Victorian touches and bright purple hues or the rose petal red shawl, either way I am hooked.  The clothing are all so easy on the eyes and so distinctively unique.  And to think, they are all moderately priced and hand made by a woman by the name of Kate, on Etsy.

If you are looking at KATE TOWERS, you would never guess she is a day over 21, but in fact this Portland Oregon gal is 32, with a sort of 1920's flapper hair cut and green eyes.  When Kate isn't hand crafting these gorgeous pieces, she is enjoying the special time she has right now being a full time stay at home mom. Kate had a clothing shop with a friend for 8 years in Portland, before opening a new door in life, to raise her daughter.  Kate is currently a featured seller on Etsy and took the time to be interviewed by the site, sharing her secrets of creativity and what she is doing when she isn't designing.  Kate told Etsy, "I like to keep it natural for the most part, cotton and silk are favorites.  I hand dye a lot of my fabrics to get the colors I want and to add to the one of a kind-ness".  I also love to find old lace and interesting bits from estate sales, thrift shops, etc..."
